In January we started being recognised as an armwrestling federation.With this we are creating an opportunity to our athletes to compete internatonally.
Our first competition will be in the Dobra Voda Cup in Slovakkia in June.Posters atttached.

The following is a list of the best malta armwrestlers per category
Christian Attard is from Floriana.Along with his brother Kurt Attard he competes in the under 75kgs right hand category.
Kurt Attard is also from Floriana.He is a good ner 75armwrestler and in very good shape.In most competitions he comes final with his brother and is Firuz is competing they place in the 2nd and 3rd palce respectively.
Firuz Poachaev is one of our best armwrestlers and he won many awards.He is from Uzbekistan and resides in Malta.
ALthough he weights less then 75 kgs he has won the overall category multiple times.He won the under 75kgs and the overall right hand category at the competition at Lija Bocci club.
In the last competition last August 2024 Firuz placed 1st in the Left hand under 75kgs,1st right hand under 75kgs and 3rd in the Overall category.
Right hand under 90kgs category
Roland Qasha was malta armwrestling champion some years back.He has won an armwrestling competion held in Maxtura Gozo and won also the left hand.Lately he lost against Firuz and Kersten yet he is still considered one of our bestvarmwrestlers.
Braden Cutajar is a tall guy in his twenties who competed in various competitions.He competes either in under 75kgs or under 90kgs.
He competed at Lija competition and at Beachgarden hotel in St` Julians.He also competes with his left hand.
He was placed second in the right hand under 9okgs
Charles Degiorgio is a renowned power lifter in Malta.He recently showed interested in armwrestling anfd has competed in various categories.Although he did no win anything yet in armwrerstling he is a promising athlete.
Josef Dalli is a competitors who is 76 kgs so he is not he does not qualify for the under 75kgs just by 1kg.
Josef is a very good athelte nd he likes various sports.In fact he does the maltese regatta(rowing)
and also playes in the malta football league.Unfortunately he is not training specifically for armwrestling but other competitors say he was one of the best maltese armwrestlers in the past.
Clifton Spagnol like Jason Farrugia competed with the former organisation and was considered the Malta under 9okgs champion.
He competed only once in our events where he did a great performance and won the under 90`s right hand again even after 10 years inactivity.Unfortunately he does not show interest anymore to compete.

Stefan Kole Kostic is a serbian armwrestler.He has international experience and is knowlegeable about the rules and and refeeering.He is one of the besrt over 90kgs armwrestlers in Malta at the moment.
He competes in both left and right and is paced amongst the top three all the time.
In the last competition he places 1st in the over 9okgs left handed category.
Antoine is considered the second best armwrestler in Malta.Recently he has beaten Kersten Mercieca which is the current champion and has international experience so one can consider Antoine as the current champion.
He also lost weight so next time we might see him compete in the under 9oks category.
Antoine placed 1st in the over 90kgs right hand and also 2nd in the Overall right hand category.He was eliminated due to two elbow fouls.
Christian Gatt is a promising armwrestler.He competed in the Gozo competion in Maxtura.In this competition he got eliminated in the first round by renowned power lifter Bastian Ciantar.
However Christian was still very young this time.Two years later Christian won the over 90kgs categories at Lija Bocci club.He lost the overall competition to Firuz Poachaev.
Bastjan Ciantar is one of the most famous bodybuilders in Malta who is also keen about armwrestling.He competed in the Maxtura competition wheregot eliminatedn the 3rd round by Angel Kacarski in the left competition and in the right hand by winner Roland Qasha
Christopher Thornton is renowned as the champion of Gozo.He competed only once in the armwrestling competition held at down town hotel where he won the left handed category and came finalist in the right handed category against Jason Farrugia.
He was recently involved in an accident but he is recovering.
Kersten Mercieca is our current Malta champion.He has been competing since the compettion at Hugo`s pub where he was placed in the under 75kgs.Kersten was still in his teens.
He also competed in the Lija competiton where he lost in the final.
He competed in the Beachgarden hotel in St`Julians where he won the over 90ks and the overall competition becoming the champion of Malta.This was the last competitin organised by myself as after then there was the covid.I am orgaising the next competition on the 25th of August in Marsalforn Gozo.SOme other competition s were held being organised by Antoine Graham and Kersten Mercieca.An interesting fact is that during a friendly event organised in an apartment by the pool Antoine Graham won in the final agaist Kersten.
Kersten in currently Malta armwrestling champion.He placed 2nd in the Left hand under 9okgs,1st in the -90kgs right category and 1st Overall champion.We congratulate him from here.
Jason Farrugia has been competing since the year 2000 where competitions were organised by another organisation.
He won against prominent power lifters.He won in the Marsaskala competition against Daryl Aloysio a prominet bodybuilder who unfortunately passed away some years ago in an accident.
He then won against giant Eric Schembri (6 feet 5) a renowned power lifter.
Competitions were not held in Malta for ten years after which I decided to take over.I found Jason through a google search about Malta armwrestling.
Even after 10 years without armwrestling Jason participated in the overall competiton organised at the downtown hotel in Gozo.He won each bout in less then 1 beating Christopher Thorton in the final.
Jason competed two years later at Hugo`s in paceville beating huge power lifter Patrick Portelli with minimal effort.
Jason is competition unbeated and also competed internationally and is considered by many as the beat maltese armwrestler of all time.
