The competition in Maxtura was also a successful event with many competitors from the island of Malta.The under 75 kgs competition was won by Christian Attard from floriana,
the under 90kgs was won by Daniel Camilleri (deceased).
The right hand open and the left handed competition were won by Roland QAsha who at the time was the best armwrestler in Malta,followed by Angel Karacrsi.Bastjan Ciantar a powerlifter also had a good performance.
